Let time for people to move out, 6 month is not enough.

The decision is clearly understandable and I already moved out for some projects.

But the timing plan announced is not acceptable for lot of projects. It seems there is no real urgency to force stop people using this project immediatly and this is not a Google product which directors decided to close.

Please, let time to people to move out, 6 month is not enough, give at least 12 month.

Ingress was a mess because lacking lot of proper definitions, so people are going to have a hard time to move all their custom definitions to a standard gateway API config (which may not cover their case...). You cannot just move out of the nginx ingress controller, you have to rewrite completly your routing stack.

6 month is not enough for lot of projects to rewrite completly their routing, testing and potentially breaking their prod env.
